CH Spring Valley's Erik the Red, CGC, HIC, NA, NAJ,
TDI, ET, TT, HRQ2

Expertly shown by Sandie Gordon, Erik took the breed in Philadelphia in 2003.
This versatile, multi-talented dog excels at everything he does, from conformation, to performance,
to therapy work. Still going strong at 10 years of age, his current activities are limited only by human
factors. Still standing at stud, he is the proud sire of young I
ndy (Ch. Cataraqui Indian Summer),
who is currently the no. 1 bitch (and no. 2 Ridgeback) in Canada.

Always the gentleman, who loves people, dogs, cats, etc., he has a heart of gold that he passes on
to his offspring along with his physical attributes.

For more information on Erik, you can visit his web site
here or email his owner here.

CHIC #47913
Erik took Open Dog at the 2002 Michigan Specialty.
Even though he was recovering from a nasty 3-day stomach virus,
Erik  rallied for his handler Sandie Gordon and made the first cut at
Westminster in 2004.
Erik and his daughter Evelyn both passed the Temperament Test
last  July at the Ridgeback Rodeo. Shown here also with son Leif,
who was  too young for the TT, but who earned his CGC, so each
dog proudly  wears a CGC neck scarf.
On his first time out as a Veteran, Erik took the breed over a very
nice group of specials.
Along with his daughter Evelyn, Erik effortlessly completed the
Endurance Trial at Gettysburg in 2008, becoming the oldest
Ridgeback  to qualify.
At the Ridgeback Rodeo in July, 2009, Erik finally had a chance to
demonstrate his prey drive hunting rabbits, which earned him a new
 title, HRQ2.
