Duchess and I have always walked away with the ribbons whenever we've gone in the ring together,
but she really outdid herself this time! With a spring in her step and a twinkle in her eye we floated
around the to the sound of applause coming from complete strangers (and some great friends along
with Duch's owner Heike!) getting the final nod from Best in Show judge Barbara Dempsy Alderman.
The last time I was in the ring with Duch we went BOS to a HUGE RR entry in Houston, standing
directly behind Ikaika as he went BOB. We're very proud of this Absolut grand daughter.

Thank you Heike and Rick for entrusting me with your beautiful girl yet again and may there be many
more ribbons to come!

Duch and I have already discussed that she should have "MBVIS" before her name so I will do my
best to follow through.

Celebrating the vets!

Duchess is:

The boys make a claim on their heritage.

9/26/09Boar hunting rhodesian ridgebacks

We can stress form and function, but can you back it up? We believe that our dogs today should
stand up to their proud heritage as large game hunters, and our boys have proven they have the raw
material to do just that!

We have began hunt training them on one of North America's most plentiful (and most destructive to
native wildlife) - and one of the most dangerous large game animals. The feral hog.
Their first time in the ring with one of these animals was a test to see whether or not they had what it
takes to be more than just a pretty face - and boy did they ever come through! Follow us as we
continue to train the dogs in their proud heritage.

The puppies are here!!

9/19/09
Saturday, 9-19-09, Porsche (& Jagger) had 7 boys and 4 girls born.  They were quite a surprise as
they were 3 days early.  All are doing GREAT!!  All have ridges-  no Dermoids.  All the colors are so
consistent it is unbelievable.

Carol cannot be happier with this litter!

Please see the page HERE for information on these outstanding puppies.

Congrats on such a great job Porsche and Jagger!

8/09/09
A week to date from his fathers win - Titus goes BOB and goes on to get a Group 3!! Like father like
son. Quality begets quality. Judge Patricia A. Murphy from IL recognizes Titus's qualities at the
Corpus Christi Kennel Club taking this owner handler team from BOB all the way to a group
placement!

What a way to end a great weekend in the sun and surf!
"Muzzle-should be long, deep and powerful. The lips clean, closely fitting the jaws..."

Extra gets a Group 3 from the Veterans Class!!

8/2/09
Retire at 8? Not likely! This boy shows judges he's still got the moves and the looks by taking home a
Group 3 at the Hunterdon Hills Kennel Club in Ringoes, NJ. He also proves that the proof is in the
pudding by daughter Elphie going WB and BOS at the same show. Both were expertly handled by
Dennis MacMullin - proud owner. Extra is also owned by Linda Ruth, and Marie Cotton. Contact
information can be found HERE.

Great job guys!

"Eyes-should be moderately well apart and should be round, bright and sparkling with intelligent

5/01/09

wheaten rhodesian ridgeback Lucius
We're very excited to announce that our boy Lucius will be showing at the National Specialty this year.
He will be shown in the Bred By class by Heather Trapasso, and also will be shown in the stud dog
class with His father Extra and sister Lilly (shown below).

Keep an eye out for Lucius - He'll be the one that walks in the ring as if it's nothing more than a
formality as he feel's he's obviously the best dog in the ring. What a riot!

and Day 2 Titus goes BOB

It'll do! The boys behaved very well. Thanks Tammy for showing Titus while I showed Lucius!

Ridgeback Custom Quilt Squares

3/31/09
I've decided to accept commissions for custom quilt squares.

How does it work? You submit a picture of your choosing* to me and I will create a quilt square wall
hanging. Color schemes can be requested. Most of my materials will come from JoAnn Fabrics.

Here's an example:

The finished product (18X18 inches - approx)

The fee for one like the example above is $75. Although the design was not a simple one it was
relatively easier than say one with multiple subjects. The more complex the design, the higher the
fee.

Please keep in mind that the above square was first hand sewn then machine finished. This project
took me about 8 hours spread over a 3 week period.

If you would like to see about having one of your own commissioned please feel free to contact me at
Kotchfam@msn.com .

*There are limitations to what can be created, things overly detailed or with very fine outlines will not
make as good of a subject due to the nature of the medium.
